RON NOBLE- Emmy Award Winning Animator
Animation Creator/Director Ron Noble had a fun-filled childhood
drawing cartoons every chance he could. All that cartooning landed him a spot in the Capital Children’s Museum
Animation Corps Workshop in Washington D.C. in 1987, when he was 17 years old. Through this program he met the legendary Chuck
Jones for a one-on-one all day animation lesson in 1988 that set him on his path for life. Ron attended Syracuse University
and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in TV/Radio/Film Production in 1992. After college, Ron drew freelance
cartoons and illustrations for several national magazines and newspapers, then worked as an animator for Edmark and Microsoft
software companies in Seattle, WA. From 1994-1996 Ron worked tirelessly to create his first full-fledged independent
animated short, “Living With Ridalyn.” The wild, cartoon comedy went on to win Best Traditional Animated
Film at the 1997 CSUN Intl. Animation Festival. Soon after, Atom Films purchased, “Living With Ridalyn”
released it on DVD and distributed the short to Blockbuster Video, Showtime, and even Cathay Pacific Airlines. Ron followed
that up with a very short twisted animation entitled “Big Hand For Mr. Bouncy” that also was sold to Atom Films.
In 1998, Ron moved to Hollywood and began storyboarding on Nickelodeon TV’s “Rugrats” and “The Wild
Thornberrys” at Klasy Csupo. Nine months later in 1999 he was promoted to animation director. Ron directed multiple
seasons of Nickelodeon’s “All Grown Up,” “The Wild Thornberrys,” “Rocket Power”
“As Told By Ginger,” and won the “Outstanding Children’s Animation Program” Emmy in 2002-2003
as a director on “Rugrats.”
Ron Noble left Klasky Csupo in 2005 and is now developing, pitching
and producing his own animated shorts, TV series and features through NobleTown Studios, his independent animation and illustration
company . The latest NobleTown animated short is the dark comedy, “Hope Springs Eternal” that has won 10 International
Film Festivals and been an Official Selection at over 40 festivals worldwide. A series entitled MORT (based on the short)
is now in the works.
